Our baby girl is going to officially be one month old tomorrow (the 23rd). I'm sure some will think that this sounds bad but it seems like it's been longer. Even with one month full of sleepless nights, vomit covered clothing and ears filled with the wails of my daughter, I wouldn't give any of it up. Well, you can have the sleepless nights. Turns out that I'm grumpy when suddenly awoken at 2am to the sound of pitiful wails.

Anyway, this post is partially in celebration of her one month day, partly to announce that unofficially, Noelle now weighs 13 pounds. We didn't want to wait another 2 weeks until her next appt so I weighed myself, then again with me holding her. Doing the math gives us 13 pounds. This doesn't account for ounces though so it could be off a little. Regardless it's no wonder she's not fitting into some of the clothing we have. Bummer. I'll leave you with a picture of our little angel.

This site has the official longest page on the internet. It appears to be a series of graphics, each designed by a different person, which fit seamlessly together to form one ong image. It's like community graffiti in which everyone knows what everyone else is doing and plans accordingly. Very beautiful. Check the link

Since Andy mentioned that Scott and Natalie were in the hospital to deliver Ford today, I thought I'd post a picture we received of him. He was a tiny baby - 5 lb 11 oz. That's 3 pounds less than Noelle was when she was born!

I realized we haven't posted any pictures of the nursery yet. This is a picture Andy took for the beard contest, but it shows the really cool trees we painted with the help of our friend Stephen and inspiration from Readymade Magazine.

Last Wednesday, Noelle and I went to visit Andy at work and went out to lunch. The car seat usually puts Noelle right to sleep and she'll stay that way for hours, but we woke her up while we were there so she could see Andy's office. She is making this face because she agrees with me that all the bearded guys Andy works with are crazy.

It doesn't look like Noelle is going to let me go back to sleep anytime soon, so since I'm up I thought I'd post a few pictures. This one was taken right before a diaper change, which is one of her least favorite times of the day. This diaper change also involved a change of clothes due to some major spitting up.

Out friends Scott & Natalie were about a month behind us in pregnancy and we just heard that they went into the hospital at 5:30 this morning to deliver their baby, Ford.

Please keep them in your prayers: that everything would go smoothly, that Ford would be born healthy and whole, that Natalie would be safe after the delivery and that Scott & Natalie would get to experience the "joys" of waking up at all hours of the morning to work for their little man, Ford.

Jaime and I are so excited for you Scott & Natalie. We can't wait to meet your son, our daughters future playmate and friend.

Here's a picture of our nightly ritual of trying to get Noelle to sleep. We swaddle her up like a little burrito, hold her on her side, and jiggle her a little bit. This is Noelle's "daddy time", which not only allows them to spend some quality time together, but lets me get to bed to take some much needed minutes before she gets hungry again. Which is usually in about an hour. It's a short time in our lives, though, so I am trying to cherish it while it lasts.

You'd never think that an 8 pound baby could so completely and utterly tire out 2 adults, but it's true. Our daughter Noelle Jordan can bring Jaime and I to our knees with exhaustion with just a squall and a whimper at 1:30am.

So I'm not a big nap person, but Jaime on the other hand loves to sleep. In fact, if there were a US Olympic "sleep team", I'm convinced that she'd be coach; she is after all to old to be on the team itself. So here's a picture of Jaime catching up on a little nap with Noelle sleeping on her chest, silently plotting her next middle-of-the-night crying session. Enjoy.
