Well, we have been in our house for over a month now, and we haven't regretted our purchase for one second. Sure, there have been unexpected plumbing, paint chipping, projects taking longer than we thought types of issues, but those are the things that remind us we are homeowners. We still have boxes to unpack, decorations to hang, walls to paint and a fence to build, but that gives us something to look forward to! It's great to be in our own place. The dogs both love it there, too. They've expressed their joy by chewing up a lot of our clothes that they've pulled out of the hamper, many of our shoes, and also developing a great relationship with some local fleas. They also run around like crazy enjoying the extra space, especially out in the yard.
Along with a new house, Jaime just started a new job. She is working at the Vanderbilt Student Health Center as an Administrative Assistant to the Director. Not only does the job pay more and get out earlier than her last job, but it is also a great transition job for her since she will be starting Nursing school this spring. It's hard to start a new job, but she will get the hang of it before she knows it. Hopefully it will keep her busier than her last job - which would not take much.
