We are in Florida this weekend visiting Andy's parents, and we are having a great time. This is a trip for my birthday/Mother's Day/our Anniversary and to bring his parents their wedding album. We also got really cheap tickets, which is a great bonus! We got in on Friday morning and just hung out all day, catching up and relaxing. We were all on vacation, so you have to live it up! We stayed up late playing a game called Frontier 6, where I got to rustle me up some cows and my mother-in-law became a chronic bank robber.

Today, we slept in late and again didn't do much of anything. That's one of my favorite things to do! Then around 4:00 people started coming over for a dinner we had together, then later a dessert party. We had so much fun with family and some friends that Andy hadn't seen in forever and I had never met. There were also tons of kids here, which provided much entertainment. Plus, I got some birthday presents!

We're headed home tomorrow morning, so this has been a short trip, but a great one.

Cinco de Nacho
File under: General

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! Or as we like to call it, Cinco de NACHO because today is Nacho's birthday! His 5th birthday, to be exact, which also makes it his GOLDEN birthday. For this exciting event, we decided to make Nacho a dog food omelet. That's right, eggs and dog food. Cooked in a pan. He sure ate it up quickly, so it must have been good. Duncan was pretty jealous as well, but he eats his own poop, so that doesn't mean much.

And in just a few days is my 25th birthday! I will be glad to move out of the '18-24' category, especially since my husband is in the '31-40' category. Andy and I are taking half the day off on Friday to go see a movie, go out to dinner, and get ready for this huge 6 family garage sale we're doing with our community group on Saturday. We've got a lot of stuff to sell.

In other news, many of you know that we had a stray puppy staying with us a few weeks ago. Well, we found a guy that wanted to adopt her, and he did, but then he brought her back the next day. So now she still needs a home. Let us know if you find anyone who wants a beautiful dog.

You know, lately I have missed the times that I was able to "live life" with my friends and family, to see them every day, sharing day-to-day information. My friends used to know when I was having a good day or a bad day. They used to know my schedule, when I stubbed my toe, when I got my hair cut, what I had for dinner. They would know that Andy had a softball game last night and his team won, and that we went to the mall on the way there to return some things I bought (my mom calls that 'bulemic shopping'). When we call each other to catch up, we usually only get to touch on the main points. We're house shopping, the dogs are doing fine, we still like our church. It's different when you can live life with people, when they know all of your business. I liked that. I guess this little website is a way to share some of that day-to-dayness I am missing.

Enjoy your day.
